I've done all that. I installed the script. It was working fine but now it isn't. As for way y axis ways there is no binding. If you unhook the rack you can push it with 1 finger from 1 end to the other with no problem.  There isn't 1 tight spot in it at all. It almost seems like I have 1 lazy motor but they are both the same and new

Thanks for the reply. I'm also having a issue with the slaving of my a to my y axis. When I Mill in climb milling the Gantry wants to go out of square causing me to loose accumulated steps. but when I do conventional milling it works perfectly.

Can anyone help me. I slaved my a to the y axis but the motor s are not syn exactly the same. I increased the the denounce , I lowered my acceleration it seamed to help but not completely. I am using mach3.

I am new to cbc work. Where do I look to find out. Where is it. Some times it works and sometimes it doesn't.  I just tried it and it worked. I have noticed that when I run a g code that 1 time out of 3 times it will cut properly with no problems but i go through alot of wood.

Hi all. I need some help. I have 2 touch plates. 1 corner finder which works great and 1 fixed touch plate. The fixed touch plate, the tool rapids down and hits the plate, stops but does not retract to slowly come Dow for a second touch off. I have to reset mach3 and manually retract it. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas what is happening as the corner finder works as it should. 
The other issue I am having is my machine measures correctly near the home switches but but no where else.

I think that I just found must of the trouble. The y axis rail when the guy put it on was out by 1/8" and wanting to make the machine make very small jumps not visible to the eye. But when watching the vac hose you could see it make small shakes in the middle of the ways.. I ground the high spots out to straighten . I got the machine to Mill a 1" holein aluminum accurate to.004.  Close enough for doing wood. Just thought I would share my findings it might help someone else.

It must be too much flex in the z axis. I'm just machining wood not metals. When I rebuild it I'm going to use all steel. Thanks for all your help Kevin

I'm not real happy with this machine I would like to rebuild it with a 12' Gantry and that will let me access through the side of the machine instead of the end or going under the ways on the y axis. Rich my picture is too big for this site and I can't zip the pic . Can you please send me your email address and I will send it that way. Thanks.

I haven't been able to measure for run-out as of yet but should it not cut undersize on the complete hole? I can understand that if the run-out is say .010 than the hole should turn out to be .020 under. Is this correct?
