I have mach3 running under Win 7 pro no problems there, but I did have problems with that board from eBay and had to return for refund as it was faulty and supplied disk infected my system with a Trojan. So check the disk carefully and do not worry you can return it for a refund purely on the grounds they all tend to ship this board with counterfeit software, if anything like one supplied to me containing nasty surprises.

If an attachment happens to have a duplicate name or file extension wrong format, I get a message telling me so and everything typed beforehand is lost, preview for some reason does not work. Type in post add a few pictures and hey presto duplicate name iges instead of igs file extension for exampler and everything disappears, time to start post from scratch. (OS win 8.1, Browser Firefox)

Today I went to post and again forgot to back up text or type in notepad, lost everything and no time to redo so could not post an update due to lack of time. The problem was with file type today as I added an igs file with iges extension, result lost effort and no post until I have time to redo.

Error trapping needs to be done earlier or input saved and user returned to it to allow corrections, just annoying and this is only forum that does this to me.

swap motors to identify is motor and wiring ok, swap just driver to ensure driver ok, double check config.

Maybe someone has already posted this, but if everyone is wanting to run 64 bit to do their CAD/CAM work on and then run Mach, why not use Virtual box to run both 32 and 64 bit on the same machine?? yea it's not the perfect solution but it would work.

Virtual machine may be a problem but nothing to stop you having both XP and 7 64bit installed on two HDD or even two partitions running as a dual boot machine, making it possible to boot one machine to either 64bit to run fusion360 to dersign create g-code or 32bit to run mach3 and process g-code, all that is required it to make files accesible to both OS.

Doesn't say anything about Mach Licence on ebay they just include it on CD with plugin needed to use the USB board instructions included to use fake licence. I already have licence so not interested but someone spends time programming software unless its rubbish they deserve to be paid. All I installed was the plugin to a demo set up of Mach3 that corrupted everything.

And award for plonker of the week goes to ME!! rushed back so I could skim the bed before it got too late, I had trammed it in on an old offcut of ply last night. Set it up to face at 1.5mm DOC at 1.5mpm 6000rpm and it glided around leaving a nice clean finish, straight edge and a CREE to check and a blind man would have been glad to see it.  :o Who decides wants to play some more and take just 0.2 to see how it goes, fired up the spindle and thought I would try the new hand control thats sat here for a week, DAMN straight down and 1mm ding in the freshly skimmed bed, well it can stay as it is for now until I feck it up again!!! Anyway have to remove the grease nipple on bottom bearing to skim it as it holds just off the edge since I fitted that side.

Thought I would try a USB Bob from eBay to try see if Mach3 would run from notebook/tablets I have available, today it arrived with pirated software and a plugin that has corupted an old desktop system when loaded into Mach3 fresh demo install, software piracy reported to eBay and return started for item as unfit for purpose malware on disk plugin crashes Mach3 straight away Artsoftcodes9991, company is mentioned already should have checked hall of shame before ordering "FASTERCNC CO, LTD." and the ebay seller  User ID maxonix2014 otherwise claiming in instructions to pirate software to be Zhouxiao, Unit 73 Interlink Way West, Bardon Business Park, Bardon, Leicestershire, LE67 1LD,  with a chinese phone number +86-13926575825. Will let you know result, meanwhile another PC to reformat and clean, I will take copy of fake Mach licence before I return item although I am sure you already have copy, if not and you want it forwarding let me know.

Nice work sir. Let's hope that changing the BoB cures the axis one way problem (issues such as this can occur when using an opto-isolated BoB feeding into an opto-isolated driver).
Tweakie.

The new Bob solved the problem thanks for the heads up, I still can't get my head around how opto isolation on two seperate circuits has can affect each other, do you have any more information on why this would cause a problem?

Your only as old as the woman you feel I need to find a younger one, I am only 57 this time but stubborn enough to get round and raise a bit more cash for McMillan.

Thanks for the info and yes I have opto isolated Bob and Drivers so fingers crossed.
