General Mach Discussion / dxf to g code dimension problem
« on: October 16, 2015, 05:12:09 AM »
Hello everyone ,
I have problem with converting dxf to nc. I have a lot projects made in tango pcb, in that program am able to export file like dxf, that dxf i load to nc plot to generate g code but dimensions are always a lot smaller than in tango. For a start i make square 100x100mm to make it simple. Is there something i didnt do right ?, Every advice is welcomed . Thanks !

Hello everyone, am Vojislav from Serbia, electrician
Long time ago we had old russian copier machine , so i decide to put step motors and some spindle and make engrave machine. I make electric cabinet full of equipment later i can put some pictures so everyone can see, machine is not big , enough for jobs we need,  we had a lot of files made in tango.pcb. In that  program we can export file like dxf. Problem we have now is converting dxf to g code, i tried  several programs , and most suitable for now look program nc plot, because our files in dxf are written in 2D and for engrave we need to put depth of z axis . Main problem is with dimension , when i make nc and load it to mach3 and start , machine is working but it looks like 10 times smaller than in project, searching on forum i didnt find topic about this so if anyone can help me i wil appreciate it.
