General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach 3 and MPG
« on: March 27, 2015, 10:30:02 AM »
I made some progress today
I found the jog on/off button on the MDI screen.
That switches the ligths on and I can select the modes properly.
I even made my X axis to move erratically a few minutes upon turning the knob on my pendant.
Then I probably pressed the wrong button and could not move the axis any more.
I definetely need more practice...

When I press the tab key, I get the virtual MPG.
On that MPG, I can see "lights" for the modes continuous, step and MPG.
However, none of these ever lit up.
If I click for changing the mode, continous works OK (I can change speed), step works OK (I can change step) but MPG returns nothing.
I can also change mode with my wireless pendant, but no mode will move any axis.

Well, I would say no...
I usually use the standard run/front page, sometimes the MDI page.
How do I set the MPG mode?

General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 and MPG
« on: March 23, 2015, 12:09:38 PM »
Hi,
I am the owner of a 4 axis CNC saw that I entirely retrofitted under Mach3 (french version)
It starts to move the way I want it to...
I recently added an MPG: the UCR200 USB wireless jog pendant from CNCdrive.
It works...almost but not quite!

I followed the user manual and installed the plugin, then activated the plugin under Mach3.
Filled in the plugin parameters.
Activated MPG number 1
and it communicates OK.
downwards, I can read the DRO on the pendant screen
Upwards, I can run/stop the spindle.
But, it won't move my axis!

I have no problem moving axis using the virtual MPG of Mach3 (TAB)
Using the "settings" window of Mach3, I can see the velocity values of MPG1 changing as I turn the knob, but this is all I get...
I have found a window for MPG calibration. Any change in the values stops Mach3 with a 9991 error code.

I feel I have forgotten something somewhere...Do you have a clue?
