Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Change jog inc. With lua
« on: July 08, 2015, 08:30:57 PM »
Thanks Adam,

This is what I believe I need.  I didn't do a good job describing what I'm trying to achieve.  I have a rotary switch that's binary decimal coded, I have a script that decodes the switch to a number.  I then pass this to a table where I call (make active) the different screens.  What I want to do is have several several of the positions of the switch set the increment value for jogging.  For example going from .001 to .01 to .1.
I guess the second part of the question is, would sending the value to the dro change the increment?

I'll be testing this weekend I'll Post my results.

Thanks Again!
Josh

Mach4 General Discussion / Change jog inc. With lua
« on: July 01, 2015, 09:29:51 PM »
Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone could give me an example of how to send a value to a dro in a lua script and how to format the number.
I'm trying to use a bdc switch to select the jog inc value, I'm not sure if changing the value of the Inc dro is the best way to make this happen or not.  Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Josh

Alright I got it going.

I didn't have the correct plugins installed I had "_C" instead of "_A".  I looked to make sure I had both plugins in the folder and that's when I noticed, Thanks Hood!

Thanks for the pinging information Thomas!

I should be wiring up my machine sometime this week I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks again, I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Josh

Thomas,

The ping test was successful. 4 packets sent 4 received 0 lost.
The csmos blinked 4 times.

Bear in mind this was my first ping test, I did it from cmd.

CS-Lab / Connection Failed. CSMIO/IP not found.

Hello,

Anyone have any problems with getting their CSMIO/IP-A to connect?

I have the latest version of Mach 4 and the latest Plugin for the Control card.  I ran down through the set up procedure in the Cs Lab setup guide still no luck.

I'm connecting direct to my computer with a crossover cable.
I've disabled my firewall.
I've set up the correct I.P. and Mask Addresses.
I'm running windows 7 and it's not Genuine (hope this isn't a problem ;))

When I change the TCP/Ipv4 settings and start the CS Labs board my Local Area Connection's status changes to "device unrecognized" (or something to that effect)...

Any help would be much appreciated!
Best
~Josh
