General Mach Discussion / Re: Confused with setting limits in Mach3
« on: August 23, 2015, 08:22:41 PM »
My "ref all home" does not zero when I'm trying to set "HOME". I have all switches disabled. I click on "machine coord.", it lights up red, but nothing happens when I click ref all home. Help please!

If only I had known. It's a Dongda TS3040C-H80 4 axis.

Any ideas why my CNC Z movement is so far off? I have configured and re-configured so many times and it doesn't change. Using Mach 3 with a Chineese CNC(ya I know I screwed up there) I use inches. The x & y are fine, but the z seems to be moving in mm's. from max + to max - the z dro reads 54.2 when it is only a 4" movement. Like I said the x & y move correctly.

If I zero everything after jogging to a max and then jog to the opposite Max., the x & Y dro are correct. The z dro is 54.2, when it has actually only moved 4".

Sounds like Hood nailed it. I use uc100 also and if you don't go thru the process of installing the plugin and then reboot, it won't work.

I also have windows 7 64 bit, get an external motion controller; UC100. About $125. and works great.

I have a similar problem; I am configured in inches. the X & Y cut fine, but the Z cuts in mm's.
