General Mach Discussion / mach3 question
« on: April 12, 2015, 09:52:24 PM »
hi , im retrofitting a machine with mach 3, pmdx 126 breakout board and panasonic servo drives and motors, i have movement on axis now , but always in same direction , mach3 displays show correct movement but axis goes in same direction, i can change motor output pin numbers and direction changes but still goes in only 1 direction same if i change parameter on drive , direction of movement changes but goes same direction whether jogged in + or - direction.

thanks

General Mach Discussion / mach3 on waterjet
« on: December 28, 2014, 01:52:08 PM »
hi , im getting ready to use mach3 and pmdx breakout board on waterjet , setup process already started , but am confused on 1 thing ,i need 2 screen buttons on screen to turn water on/off and abrasive on/off . i can get buttons and leds like i need but how do i associate them with a m-code to send output signal to board to activate relays as needed , also need to be able to use button on screen manually .

thanks

hi , im a new member here and new to the retrofitting idea too , getting ready to do my first on an old waterjetpro machine with dead higerman control , i have a good mechanical background , ran a small machine shop for soon to be 20 years , but somewhat lacking in the electronic side of this. im sure i will be asking for lots of ideas and suggestions before this project is complete.

thanks
