G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / contour cut out with depth

So I am doing a contour cut out of a object. It has a curve to it but it is the same thickness.
I don't have to do multiple passes just one outline but the height of the outline changes.
I have been doing it for some time now but the x and y slow down to adjust the height of the blade.
I have adjusted the z height manually but would like to find a way to get the blade to go up at the right rate so that the x and y don't slow down.
Any suggestions would be great
