PoKeys / Pokey57CNC, Mach3, Proma
« on: May 19, 2021, 03:51:03 PM »
I have seen this asked a few times and searched but I have yet to find a true answer.
Simple Question:
Can the Proma 150 work with Mach3 and and the Pokeys56? Has anyone had success?

Replaced a generic Parallel BOB with Pokey57CNC via Ethernet because my old PC refused to cooperate.
I have everything functioning, can see the Arc OK and Up and Down Signals, but Mach3 does not translate these signals into motion during test mode or while cutting.

Mach3 under Vista / Computer Crashes and will not Reboot
« on: December 22, 2020, 06:55:55 PM »
After pulling my computer and Plasma Table out of storage after 2 years I reloaded Windows 7, Loaded Mach3 only.  Rebooted after install and then proceeded to setup my inputs and outputs with no issues.
Overnight the computer shut off.  Now when I try to boot the computer it just repeats the startup screen.

I've repeated this a few times with a few different builds of Mach3 and with the registry patches loaded through the CMD Prompt.

Any idea. I want to avoid changing any hardware if I can as when I stored it before my move everything worked great and I knew the ins and outs of the program/electronics on my build.

More of a hardware question then a software, but my last problem was answered and solved so fast I have faith in this site and it's members.
I was supposed to be getting better hardware with my new 4x8 plasma table but I'm dealing with the builder on that so for now I'm working with what I got.
Trying to get a relay working to tigger my Plasma.
Working with this board:

I have my pins set right and can activate the required output when needed through gcode and diagnostics and measure 24v across GND and OC here:

Now when I connect a relay and trigger the output the relay will not activate and I read a voltage with about a 18v drop. First I assumed the coil in the relay had to much drawso I tried all these from big to small.

Any insight please.  My builder is no help what so ever!.

Awesome. Thanks. That was it.
Should have come here first. 2 other forums couldn't help and then I remembered mach has a support forum.

I just brought home my 4x8CNC Plasma machine that was built by a private builder local to me. So far I have outfitted it with a router and did a quick job (okay 6hrs of routing holes) for my work on some delrin.
Now that I have it home to do what I really intend it for it is acting funny.
3 Axis with A Axis slaved to the Y
In Mach3Mill all is perfect.
In Mach3Plasma even though all the ports and pins are set the same, X and Y move like they are slaved, not Y and A. Swap pins in the settings and the same happens.
Go back to Mach3Mill and all is good.

Did a full uninstall, restart, re-install.
Same thing after inputting the proper pins and ports.
Mill Profile: All is perfect. Even the LEDs on the board corrispond properly. Y and A axis are slaved under Slave Settings. Y Axis works with up and down arrows on the keyboard, X works with left/right.
Plasma Profile: Same ports and pins settings as Mill, Same Slave Settings. X and Y move together and LEDs match the movements. Z axis works with Up/Down Arrows, Z and X respond to Left/Right.

Generic TB6560 Driver was included with the machine.
