Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: Ref All Home not working with G100

*Sigh*, that's the answer I didn't want to hear but was already looking into last night.

So a dangerous highly opinionated question comes next. Best bang for the buck motion controller to run with my G320s? I have been looking at quite a few but am not sure which is most popular/supported and easy to use. The Screw terminals on the G100 are nice while most of the ones I see are multiple 2 row pin headers.

The one that catches my eye so far.

Mach3 and G-Rex / Ref All Home not working with G100
« on: August 18, 2013, 01:59:31 AM »
So I bought this Grizzly G1007 with a CNC Retrofit kit featuring a G100 and 3 G320 motor drivers at an auction for $1000  >:D. Funny thing is I dont think the guy ever even got it running because all of the motors wires were reversed in relation to the A/B pins on the encoders so it just turned on the driver fault circuits all around.

Anyway I have this machine working pretty well and was able to manually zer and do some basic manual gcode milling but am having some issues with Auto homing. I have 2 switches on each axis wired to 17 and 1 for x, 18 and 2 for y, etc. Looking at the status LEDs on the G100 and the diagnostic screen for Mach3 both show that the coordinating home/limit is triggered when the switch is activated. When jogging the machine any of the switches will activate the E Stop but they do nothing when I am running ref all home or G28.1 X0 Y0 and this will result in the machine crashing (my drivers are turned way down at the moment so not a huge deal)

Im also getting ecode 777 connection with G100 lost intermittently, not sure if this is related since the G100 shouldn't care if Mach3 is sending a directios to go home or just a g53 command, since it does care would suggest the homing issue is in Mach3? I suppose I could try flashing the other firmware to see if it solves the 777 problem but I was working on it till 11pm tonight and I would like to hear some suggestions before wasting any more time piddling around with little success.

I have attached the XML and the below link takes you to a youtube vid showing the problem.

Thanks for the help,
