I am using Mach3 (licensed) version R3.043.066
I have "Home" switches in both X and Y directions on my lathe.
I have set up referencing as per "Referencing with a Home switch" in the instructions.
If I stay in "Radius" mode, Mach correctly returns the cross slide to its Home position when "Home All" is clicked.

When I change to "Diameter" mode, and click "Home ALL", Mach returns cross slide to 1/2 the value posted in the "Home Off" box
When changing from Machine coordinates to Program coordinates the DRO correctly shows the value in the "Home Off" box as doubled.

Cross slide is correctly referenced as the parts I cut are correct when using either Diameter or Radius mode.
Can I get the cross slide to return to Home (physically adjacent to the Home switch) when using Diameter Mode?

It is always the simple things that make trouble.
You have to hit "enter" after typing in your value into the box.
Problem solved.

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Turn Wizard wont take input

Hi,
I am having trouble with the turn wizard:
I can click an input box and type in a value, but as soon as I change boxes the values go back to zero.
Cant save or post any g-code.
Using Mach3 version 3.043.066 (licensed)
Wizard version 5.4

Any thoughts?
Thank you,
Gary

A big thank you to all who replied.
It came down to 2 simple items:

1. The "Disable Spindle Relay" box must NOT be checked.
This box is found under (Ports & Pins / Spindle Setup) Relay Control

2. You need to turn on / click the "Spindle" button to get the RPM to display.
This is one of the large main control buttons found at the bottom of the Manual and Auto screens.

Yet another C3 Index Pulse Board/Mach 3 mystery.

I am building the typical 7 x lathe CNC project and can’t get my C3 card to lock up with Mach 3. Here is what I have:

1. 56mm diameter disc with single 3mm slot.
2. C3 Index Pulse Board with photo sensor.

I made sure Mach 3 sees signal only when slot is aligned with sensor, and I used Mach 3 to identify Pin #15 with its “Automated Setup of Inputs.” Index signal in Ports & Pins correctly shows Pin #15 with “Active Low” checked.

C3 red LED lights up when slot is in proper position AND Mach 3 flashes the signal when rotated by hand but no spindle speed is displayed when lathe is running. Mach 3 flashes the signal when the spindle is really slow, but the light is not on at higher speeds. The C3 LED appears to lock solid either at lower RPM or fast (light is steady on)

I have tried several different settings of “Index debounce” in the General Logic Configuration screen including; 0, 1, 2, 3, 10, 50 and the default setting of 100. I have not changed the “Debounce Interval” (currently shows 500)

I have also tried both the “active low” and “active high” jumpers on the C3 board but this does not appear to change anything.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Gary
