General Mach Discussion / Re: Laser Upgrade
« on: October 06, 2016, 08:24:31 PM »
Many thanks gents.

I too cannot stop fiddling and making changes to the machine .
Yes I had to chuckle when the seller informed me he did not know.
The seller replied that he will contact his supplier , so I wait with baited breath for the response.
But at least he was honest with me.

I too like to buy with confidence.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but here goes.

Has anyone purchased one of these :-
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322255290350?euid=7d3e885a504744dba398cfc3c7c453c3&bu=43169893027&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu

I have a diy cnc router that has been great over the years I now want to put a small laser upgrade on, but I have questioned the seller as to what purpose the USB looking part of the package is for.
I would like to assume its to control the on/off side of things , wirelessly , but even the seller cannot tell me.

Can anyone help?

Thankyou

General Mach Discussion / Jogging off switches
« on: July 19, 2013, 01:17:54 AM »
Can any one help
I have built a small cnc router all good.
Home swithes have been wired in a daisy chain fashion and all work well.

Problem if I hit a stop either by jogging or during a program run I cannot get off the swith without shutting the motors down and manually winding off the switch.

Is there a setting in mach3 that allows me to jog off the switch without turning the thing off?

Many thanks
Adrian

I got my steppers from http://www.homanndesigns.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=25 i used the 269 for the X and the 287 for the Z with 1:1 timing pulleys, it does 3.5mps on rapids (speed was important)

Hope this helps

just a quick question , I too am looking at a pulley set up for a mill I am building, my question is your pulley ratio is quoted at 1:1 whats the advantage? (other than space)

Thanks
Adrian

I wish to leave my machine running whilst away, is there a way of getting Mach3 to put the pc into an auto shutdown.

Can this be achieved?

WooHoo it lives.

It homed itself turned it off came back to the same position after re-boot.
It went up/down/left/right,forwards,backwards round in bloody circles and never forgot where it should be.
Next task gain control of the spindle connected to my inverter....

Many thanks Hood
