Thanks Al.  It worked just fine.  I did not understand that I needed to click OK with the mouse then withing the dialog box.  As soon as I watched the video a couple of times I got it.  Thanks so much.

OK.   I am getting a little annoyed with BobCad.  I just purchased a copy of V24 and I am trying to make a 2D drawing. The part is symetrical.  It is a mirror image of the left side to the right side.  I am having almost no luck copying and pasting holes and slots from one side of the drawing to the other.  I will admit this is new to me.

What I want to do is copy and paste from one part of the drawing to another.  I can get the software to copy and paste to a new instance but not to itself.  This should be simple but I cannot get there from here.  Can you show me how?  Can I send you a copy?

Thanks

« on: February 01, 2013, 11:00:53 PM »
I am trying to modify one of the parts of my mill.  I am drawing it in 2D with BobCad. I have a difficult time selecting lines because when I do they kinda flicker on and off. I am new at this and wonder what I have done wrong?  Anyone wish to opine on my problem?   ???

OK I am fixed for the moment.  This is the jog toggle under the Tool info block.  If I turn it off I can not move around. If I make it go green then I can. Thanks for that.

How come I can not use the keys or drop down to move the machine.  There is something simple I am sure.  All electric is hooked up.  This has happened a couple times and I have been able to get out of it but I am stuck. Please help me out.

Thanks for all the help.  I have been successful with the help so far so I want to ask how do you go about using the offset page in mach 3.  I want to move off the 0,0 position and go to another location. I have read the instructions and looked at the videos and played with the old Road runner and have only succeed in removing a layer of plywood from the work piece.  I do not think my Z axis is working the way it should. I zero it out against the 3/4 in plywood board but get varying results. Mainly I get an area where the router removes a layer of plywood. It runs thru all the code but I do not see anything remotely resembling the Roadrunner I see in the display on Mach 3. I am really mystified :'( :'(

Thanks.

I have been trying to type 1.5 into the little boxes next to the X and Y axis and it won't take.  So it is supposed to work I just either don't know how to do it right or there is some trick I do not know?
Any thoughts Mr. Hood?

Thank You

Mr Tweakie:

Your advice saved the day.  It works by the Lord.  Now if I could only make it bigger.  Got any advice on how to get the scale fields to work.

thanks again
