Modbus / New to cnc and software controls, need some help

 Hello to everyone and thanks for all the work you've done

    Im totally new to cnc and the hardware and software but I have managed to get enough together to build my first rough draft machine and get modbus working with a arduino and mach 3 but have yet to connect my controllers up to the arduino due to having no clue what pins to use with Shillings modbus sketch I found posted on here.


   can anyone help out with which pins I use for these connections?

 I found that you have to edit some files in the libraries refering to  "WProgram.h" to Arduino.h in order to get it to compile
