thanks Hood,  I dont know the mach 3 came with the machine. Sorry about double posting, I am new to this, and thought it hadn't worked.
Any way to find out about the possible pirate version?   Mark,

Hi All, My name is Mark and I live in Tucson Arizona. I have a 4' x 4'
cnc router I believe its a Private made or home built machine that is using
Keling Technologies nema 23 H2100-30-4B stepper motors and Keling microstep drivers KL-5042 with Sound Logic breaker board.

The problem is (and I have been using this machine for a year, without incident) is that today when It cuts a part it goes the wrong direction in
the X axis only and only about half the time. Kind of it or miss. I tried
swapping motors with the same result and swapped out the drivers with the
same result. Checked all wires for tightness. and havent a clue what to do now. when moving in the X axis with the keyboard if I press left it goes left
stop and press left again and it goes left stop and press left again and it goes
Right. Hmmm. There seems to be no pattern I can discern. I am a woodworker
by trade and not a computer guy or a machine fix it guy. A newbie...

Any Ideas?? or is there anyone near Tucson, can and will be happy to pay for help.

Also I am using mach 3 with a computer running XP

any help greatly appreciated.
