Hi, does anybody else have any advice because this pulley thing is just not working. I have sat for days trying different things with out any success.

Hi Gerry, Thank you and I tried what you suggested but has no effect. I have also changed the PWM signal to 30%, 5% and any value between the two with out much effect.

I'm using the 107 card to control the VSD, from 120Hz to 200Hz. I'm not sure, do I set just pulley 1 (well I have and the VSD sits at 157) or all 15 of the pulleys. This whole process just does not make sense to me. After trying different settings in the pulleys I can get full 200Hz or 24000rpm if I call "M3 S5000". I have changed and monitored the values in the pulley settings but nothing gives me a pattern, if that makes sense??

Hi all, I have been running my system now for about 2 years and my spindle speeds (driven via a VSD 120Hz = 7000RPM and 400Hz = 24000RPM) have been okay'ish but now i have replaced the PC and would like to set it up properly. I now have spend the last few days trying to figure out how the pulley setting work but just cant. What i change or set doesn't come out when testing. Do I set just pulley 1 from 7000 to 24000 with a ratio 3.429 or do i setup all 15 pulleys starting at 7000 to end at 24000?

Can somebody pls help because all the searching i cant find anything.

Regards

John

Hi Jackal, that I know but my problem is I would like to assign laser on/off button (which is on Big Blue's) screen to the J10 relay on the125 board. IOW when I toggle laser on/off it trigers the relay.

Hi Hood, it has been a while.

Once again I have tried to search the forums but not using the correct key words I come up with nothing.

I'm trying to setup my PMDX-125 to allow me to start and stop a dust extractor using the laser on/off button on the screen or a macro key on my wheel control unit. Could you please point me in the right direction. regards John

Hi Stuart,

nothing changed because Mach3 was on a separate HDD therefore I just installed the HDD in the new PC, checked that port address was correct and tried to run the system. John

General Mach Discussion / Setting up a spindle...... (again)
« on: April 17, 2012, 02:58:34 AM »
Hi, I have this 24000 RPM China spindle. I had it working sort off??? The PMDX-107 card was faulty and was replaced. Now i have s100 (Min 120hz) = 7200RPM and S1000(400Hz) = 24000RPM. Reading up and trying to understand the spindle and pulleys, changing the pulleys, changing the Spindle motor setting just does not make, again, sense. Pls help??? Tks John
