General Mach Discussion / Just have to say...

Wow. I'm 2 weeks in, and all of 2 days into licensed Mach 3 so I can run more than 500 lines, and I am totally, completely, off the wall, hooked.

I haven't had this much fun with my clothes on, well, ever! I've made a few basic pieces and am rapidly learning. My wife may kill me as I'm in the garage every night from when I get home from work until midnight.

I've been lurking here and on CNCZone for about a year, so thanks everyone for convincing me to take the plunge. What a blast!

FAQs / Machine Limits

I can't seem to get my machine limits to save. They save just fine during a work session, but when I restart the software all the machine limits are gone and I have to reset them. Is this normal behaviour or am I missing something?

Hi there;

I am a new CNC hobbyist. I just picked up one of the Chinese machines, Redonda 3040. I have just figured out how to get it up and running, and have managed to spell my name and cut some circles. Love Mach 3. I'll be purchasing in the next few days. Thanks for the great software. I'm sure I'll have loads of dumb questions over the next little while. I'm having a lot of fun, but for someone with "ZERO" background in machining, this is sure to be a steep learning curve.
