Morning all finaly got a work around to get my machine up and running,

On doing so i need to alter some code in one of the files.

Symtoms

When i start a Gcode of to machine the Z axis comes down to +60mm above the work plane. then the spindle fires up and work commences.
my issue is I have a job thats 100mm thick and i only have 22mm above the material and cutter.

any easy way to change that 60mm to 20mm??

regards Tom

General Mach Discussion / Annoying issue with my cnc router
« on: June 11, 2022, 10:36:31 AM »
Good Day All,

Sorry If this is in thr wrong section.

I have a home built CNC router running mach 3. Was built in 2011.

Long story short.... Left machine running a finishing pass on some vacuum forming molds came back once finished and the spindle was sitting very randomly spinning in a none natrul way. https://youtube.com/shorts/OUIfTT_EAKI

Parts I have changed thus far....

A new pmdx 126 and 107 board have been fitted.

If any one can shed any light onto this i will be greatful as you all know, Its an expesive table if its not cutting.

Thank you in advance

regards Tom

Mach3 under Vista / Modifying Buttons in Mach 3,
« on: March 17, 2020, 07:14:12 AM »
Good Day all,

I am looking for some help in re configuring my mach 3 screen. Currently I have X, Y, Z and A/4. I have an issue with my CNC at this moment and trying to locate the fault.

I have swapped my drive for the A into Z position and want to disable the A/4 from the whole process of Ref all etc. I have turned it off in all tabs of ports and pins Just need to stop it calling it when i hit the ref all.

Thank you kindley

Regards Tom

I kno the servos are strong enough to snap 8 bolts easily, we have a vacuum pump and on a full sheet it works out to about 4tonne holding the sheet down, and i have seen the motors on the x push the sheet striaght off in the past 8 x m12 aint going to stand that imo lol.

I have garry at zapp automation seeing if he can send us the firmware update for older drives to match the firmware to new drive

thanks again Hood

it woudnlt bent it tbh it would knock it all out of square worst case would snap 8 bolts holding boom to where the motors go,
