If I am at X0 & Y0 and I want my to start my work at X1.75 & Y.9963  & Z to cut .020 deep do I just put those numbers into
the offsets page?

Hi Brett,

I"m in Pa, I use Mach 3 to create the g code.

Thanks for the reply Hood, I will keep trying.
I think I need to set the machine coordinates to zero at the x/y, then move to where I want my text to start and zero everything there.

I'm planning on engraving some parts that I make. All these parts are exactly the same size and shape.
I worked all day trying to figure out how to center some text on my flat workpiece. I put my work on the bed and fasten, then zero the x and y and z but then I'm lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Chip,

Thanks for the reply, I have the axis going the right direction now.
I see its going to take time to learn all this.

Thanks again

Hi Everyone,

New user here and I"m missing something and can't find it. When using my milling machine
the text that is being engraved is being cut from right to left, I would like it to be left to right.
Can anyone give me a clue how to make this happen? I really appreciate your help.

I found the problem, I check for past postings about the same problem and found I needed to
go to config/ports & pins/motor outputs/Dir low active for x axis and check for opposite of what
is was.

Thanks
Geo
