General Mach Discussion / X axis Step pin change during millig

Hallo everybody,
I am evaluating Mach 3 1.90.038 on my 3D mill machine, but I am having some trouble on X axis.
I load Gcode usually generated with siemens iso post processor, then I push Cycle Start, change the tool and the machine start
working fine on every axis.
After some lines of GCode X axis stop itself.
The first times i thought it was an hardware trouble, but after some checks I found that mach3 changed the value in my Step pin from
9 (my default value) to 10 or from 9 to 11, loosing the control of x axis.
Can anyone help me to understand why?
P.S. I'm using a notebbok PC with Pentium 4 1.6 Ghz and 256 Mb Ram
