Promote and discuss your product / WonderMotor ?
« on: January 08, 2012, 01:00:22 PM »
Has anyone else tried a wonder motor off of eBay?
DC variable speed 5500 rpm's no load.
Maximum torque @ 2500,
I got one recently and belt drove it.
I made new pulley so it goes 6500 rpm in the middle range.
7700 in the high range for engraving.
With a 1/8" mill it will take a .150 deep cut @2 imp.
The motor was $159.00
100 Watt
It has a ditigal read out of rpm's.
Also totally silent motor when not attached to spindle.
Over all it is a pretty nice deal all around.
Sweet.

General Mach Discussion / Fixture Plate
« on: January 06, 2012, 09:57:07 PM »
Made a fixture plate a few weeks ago. I Have two Emco vises alike so I put hole patterns to match them.
I spaced all the other holes .5 apart & staggered @ 1/4".
I ended up with 186   10-32 tapped holes, I made it at work on my HAAS VF-3.

I take .04 a cut all day on my maxnc with the same collets you are using.
Hanita Varimills is all I use, the machine has enough power to break a .25 mill.
I'm using the gecko 540 also.

Problem solved ,
I had it set to high of a kernel speed.
I put it on 25k and it hauls butt now.
In Mach 2 it ran great at 45k
Mach 3 seems to like 25k better.
Thanks for the moral support.

I have it set @ 40000 to the inch . I have 20 tpi leadscrews w/gecko540.
It moves the correct amount on my dro that I have hooked to each axis.
I will figure it out today after resting up from the F1 night race ,stayed up all night.
