Thanks so much! Thanks to the video tutorials I managed to receive and assemble my cnc and draw a piece with it in 10 hours with no previous experience what so ever. Could'nt have done it without you guys!

Safety first! The first things I will be practicing on once up and running will be ventilation pieces and other safety related parts from wood and plastics. I just need to be able to cut some air first. I did manage to get the V90 moving a little but it seems to be moving in much larger movements then the piece is scaled that I made in Illustrator and coded in gcode. The piece is less then 2"x2" and it's moving like it's about a foot wide.

General Mach Discussion / Brand new to CNC, mach3...well everything.

Ok so I am brand new to all of this and need help with getting running. First let me give an overview of what I'm running, or trying.

Fireball V90
Breakout: PBX-RF
3 axis ProboStep Motor/Driver
40VDC Linear

Computer: Laptop dual core windows 7 64bit and desktop with XP pro 32bit

I bought a smoothstepper and will be using registered copy of sheetcam and mach3

So my questions are what do I do to start this machine up, and how do I setup mach for this? I literally have no idea where to start. As far as my background, I have never ran or seen a cnc in person, just what I've researched online, and I'm still lost. I do have the V90 assembled as of about an hour ago. I got the ready to run box with it so all the drivers and power supply is already setup.

I appreciate any help and hope I'm not too new and too much trouble. Feel like I have gotten a little over my head. Oh and I'm getting into this to start a small business and I will hopefully be cutting carbon fiber laminate. Thanks so much!
