havent changed any settings on this machine.  has ran relaiblly for a long time.  Today was running a job and all 3 axis just quit, and stopped where they were in the program.  In the mach screeen the program was still running.  Restarted everything and it ran fine for a little bit.  Did it again awhile later.  What would be the cause of this?  Any help would be appreciated.

Got it working.  Thanks.  I did end up finding a thread that made sense.  Using stepper motor with a gecko g540.

General Mach Discussion / another newbie with a 4th axis
« on: June 23, 2014, 09:27:39 PM »
trying to get my deepgroove1 5C 4th axis set up correctly.

It has a 6:1 rotation.

How do I set up this up in motor tuning?  What is the math?  Done a search but end up more confused.

I can get it to rotate just not correctly.  If i type in G0 A360 it keeps going round.  LOL

Any help would be appreciated.

Ron and Ger,

Thanks for the info.  I do have the mill addons for Mach 3 from newfangled.  Guess I need to look into Mach4 aswell.

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Write Wizard- any way of keepingit open
« on: September 23, 2013, 12:31:43 AM »
Have been using the write wizard.  I like it for its ease of use.

1. - Is there a way to keep it open and run, instead of having to choose it everytime when I want to do a new serial engraving?

2.- after I use it, it loses x0. as my start to point.  Even though I have saved the settings, my X always changes to the last position it stops at.  I have to keep telling it to start at X0.

Thanks

picked this nice little unit up over the weekend.  couldn't beat the price one bit.  It is actually quite sturdy.  Was told that is what set up for Mach, but the reseller was just going off what was on the back of the machine.  Need to figure out the ballscrews and run a few tests in Mach to see what settings need to be at.  If anybody has any info on this machine it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks just did that, as I also found it looking in the posts forum.  That helped out, now in the first program it runs but am getting a random complete circle in one spot.  So its better.  Will keep concentrating on the post processor I believe.

Hello,

I am still learning to work with MACH3.  Have done a couple of searches but havent been able to find the answers I am looking for.

Basically the g-code my CAD/CAM is putting out is giving me errors in MACH.  I am using a generic fanuc post and have ran these programs successfully on a HAAS mini-mill with no problems.  When I go to run them on my little homemade router I get different errors.

In this code( which I didnt post all of it) I get radius differs from start point
