General Mach Discussion / Run From Here & macros
« on: April 08, 2016, 09:38:35 AM »
Hi,
Does anybody have experience with RFH behavior when code contains macros? I have situation that while it rewinds the code to get the RFH line, it executes all macros before. For example, there are macros that contain activate / deactivate outputs (pneumatic valve solenoids) and when I scroll to the desired line and press RFH button, it starts running thru the code, activating/deactivating solenoid quickly unill it stops at the desired line. Using licensed 066 with ESS. Ignore M cals while loading is checked.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers

Hello,
As I described in Subject, I would like to move Z axis manually somehow (UP/DN inputs, MPG...) while G-code is running. I know that there is an option for THC up/dn inputs, and it is working with LPT and usb SS, but NOT with ESS. Does someone have an idea how to fix this. Please keep in mind that it has to be MANUALLY, w/o THC, sensors and other signal measuring devices. Just buttons...
Thanks in advance,
Cheers!

General Mach Discussion / Re: Win7 - ESS - XML config
« on: July 16, 2014, 03:57:55 AM »
Jeff,
Thanks for supporting.
As I told, the weirdest thing is that machine is configured well and works as it should. BUT in Mach folder there is no such XML file. For example, there is Mach3Mill.xml from 28-6-2010 which is totally different than machine working setup. Actually, if I make a change and reboot, there will not be any file containing today date in Mach root folder, but machine will work as it should. Like it stores changes somewhere out of Mach folder.

I am totally confused.

General Mach Discussion / Win7 - ESS - XML config
« on: July 15, 2014, 08:51:10 AM »
Hello,
Does anybody know how to solve an issue with xml configuration file. I will try to explain what is happening. With WinXP, the XML file is always dated to the date od last config change. And of course it contains ALL config data. With Win7, the weird things are happening. The setup is ok, the machines are working as they should, but the XML files are outdated and does not contain data. How to make backup and where to find correct XML file??
Thanks in advance,

Modbus / PLC to read G-Code via Modbus
« on: July 02, 2014, 08:12:24 AM »
Hello,
I need to shift some data from G-Code to PLC. The G-Code file shall contain regular data, but part of file will contain few X and Y position that should be read by PLC via modbus. Can anyone help by giving an idea how to do this. All cooperation possibilities are included.
Thanks in advance,

Hello to everyone,
I was wondering, and trying to search the forum but with no success. I have few inputs that represent certain errors (f.e. low pressure, limit, overcurrent, VFD error...) that should issue an message at the main screen. I know that I can scroll more than one message in the same message box, but I am asking is there a possibility to create more than one message box at the main screen, so more messages can be highlited together at the same time.

Thanks in advance!

SmoothStepper USB / Homing dual axis issue
« on: February 14, 2012, 06:26:43 PM »
At first, sorry for posting the new topic that has been discussed dozen times (I couldn't find the answer)...
Here are the facts: hot wire foam cutter > X & slaved A, Y &
slaved B axis, home slave with master unchecked. 4 home sensors for each axis. When edit refallhome button (refcmbntn(18), (refcmbntn(9)) it homes and backs off onlly master axis, while slave axis remains over the sensor. Also there is a message: SHOMING_MODE_2_PART_2_COMPLETE: Home Switch Never Closed. Aborting. The weird thing is that Mach didn't tells axis to back off... Any idea???

P.S. The same machine worked fine with ss-PC-XP and after replacing with new win7 PC (with the same ss pcb) the issue appears

Cheers,

Mach3 under Vista / Re: Uneven Spindle pulsing during Axis movement

No one knows the answer? Maybe it has something with LPT config in bios or so? I know that new computers have very pore signal control, but maybe there is a cure...
