General Mach Discussion / touch probe drawings
« on: June 26, 2011, 02:18:16 PM »
Hi, does anyone know of detailed plans for the construction of a digital touch probe ? Have seen plans on the web but I want detailed drawings as just don`t have the time ( or inclination  :) ) to develop as I go along.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / vacuum pump
« on: March 29, 2011, 12:30:26 AM »
Hi , has anyone had any joy converting a compressor to a vacuum pump? I have a vacuum table which works great when hooked up to a normal vacuum cleaner yet when I hook it up to a 2cfm vacuum pump the holding power is very poor. So perhaps a converted compressor is the way to go. thanks

Hi, have set port to port 1 , pin 15 but am getting no input on screen. Have tried the auto setup but no input is detected. Am getting 5v between gnd and 5v as marked on the spare 5 pin connector .

General Mach Discussion / probe input
« on: February 04, 2011, 10:04:07 AM »
Hi, have been trying to fit a z auto height probe. the breakout board is at http://hairyraho.com/stepper-driver-board-tb6560-3v2/ Cannot find a input signal , have set to pin 15 port 5 and all sorts of configurations with no luck. Has anybody had success with this board or does it just no have a pin 15 available? Am using pins 10,11,12,13 no trouble. perhaps there is another way of getting an input signal?
thanks

Hi, the new low cost controller seems to be the way to go but have just sent off for a proxxon router as it has good write ups regarding noise levels. May keep my original router and try it if I can get hold of this new controller.
