The tool is the same for each step.
Program in a tool change for each step. Mach3 will stop and ask for a new tool  each time

General Mach Discussion / Re: Wabeco F1210E retrofit?

Yes, I will help.

I built my own stepper driver box using parts from PMDX for the power supply.

My stepper driver was built by me. It uses Geckos and a Campbell design breakout. I have helped friends use PMDX and ncPod breakout boards.
After helping with a few conversions, it is clear the wabeco steppers are not the best. My next project may be to replace them.

I'm surprised Markus sold a machine with Wabeco controls. He normally buys them "CNC ready" and adds his own controller with Mach3.

I suggest you look in the Wabeco Yahoo groups for information. You can also contact
Markus at Wabeco USA for a turn key conversion to mach3.

The F1210 uses steppers. The easiest way to covert it is to keep the steppers and replace
the stepper drives, add a standard breakout board, and load mach3. I have a F1210 running
Mach3 now.

Lazy Cam doesn't seem to work with Vista. Any suggestions?

I need to run Vista for my day job.

Mach3 under Vista / Re: Your opinion of Vista ?
« on: February 06, 2007, 01:25:42 PM »
It's clear there are many people that like to bash Microsoft and people love to scream the sky is falling.

First, I have two machines running Mach 3 on windows XP. There is no need to change the OS and I have no plans to.

I did just upgrade my office machine. If you want to load Vista make sure there are drivers for your hardware and you are
running a pretty new machine with a fast processor and lots of memory. A basic $500 machine is not going to cut it. Then
be ready to update the rest of your software (Virus protect, CD burner, Office, ...).

So far it has been a simple upgrade with no issues. We will see after a few more weeks of use.
