Put your Sub program into the subprograms folder then Call the sub with

Sub name = testsub.tap

M98 (testsub.tap) L1

HIYA Roger, You can do that now with mach3. You call the sub from a remote directory with M98.

I will have to look up the details but it should be in the manual.

You may want to unscrew the board from the mount and look on the back side for a name or any id marks.

I don't think that is a home made board as most would not include termination resisitor banks.

Are you using both A axis correction AND G93 at the same time . Are you using G61 or G64 ??

TPS gave you some GOOD advice. Everything you need to know to do what you want to do is in that manual. The key words are current tool and selected tool then send serial (;-)

Try changing the Drill cycle to a G83 and make the Q value the same as the Z value. The G81 has always been glitchy. The G81 will also at times cause a stepper machine to loose steps on teh Z. ALSO with Mach3 it is a good practice to set G61 before ANY of the cycle calls. IF not, at times you can break drills,taps,reamers,etc. The cycles are SUPPOSE to set it internally but not all of the cycles actually do it. Be safe and switch it.

Just remember to set it back to G64 after the drill cycle is cancelled. G80 G64

The pierce height delay IS to allow the pierce to finish before motion begins. When Mach3 gets the ArkOK signal this delays motion until it times out allowing the ARC voltage to stabilize before the THC UP/DOWN takes over.

Well it probed parts for about 10 years inside and out BUT the code in the toolbox may not be a good copy of the script.
