General Mach Discussion / Re: Limit switch wiring
« on: January 02, 2016, 02:41:53 PM »
Where do you find braided shield 2 wire 18 ga?
I purchased 2 wire 18 ga with a drain wire and foil sheeting. Will this work?
Also, I'm trying to upgrade an old zenbot 24x16 that I bought in 2006, and I'm having lots of problems.
my computer died, so all the settings that worked before don't seem to be correct any more.
my x axis is moving toward the home switch, but the z DRO is moving.
None of my limit switches are lighting up in the diagnostics screen.
Any suggestions where to start trying to diagnose these problems?
Thank you,
Chris May

I must have missed something in my set up of mach 3, The tool for checking signal noise is saying my signal is OK, I went thru the windows settings and turned all the power saving settings to never. the code runs fine for about 1 hour, and then it plunges, it's done it every time at the 0-0 point on the whichever offset is current. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you,

FAQs / System Requirements
« on: March 28, 2010, 09:28:54 PM »
I have an old computer running windows millennium, Is this the same as windows 2000? I would have to add memory to it to meet the min. requirement, and would like to know if it will work before spending any more time or money on this computer.
I downloaded the software on the machine, and got an error message which said the op system didn't meet the minimum, right now it only has 127 MB of RAM, did this trigger the error, or was it the Op System?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Chris May
