Feature Requests / Re: Change options for combined jog axis
« on: March 01, 2011, 08:50:41 AM »
I guess I could try and make a work around for this.  On page 120 of the document you linked me to - it actually has the correct axis referenced.  Codes 354 & 355 say they should ref Y-B ++ and Y-B--, unfortunately in mach - the codes actually move Y-A++ and Y-A--.  This looks like it was intended to be implemented correctly but was inputed as a "typo"

General Mach Discussion / Re: Y AXIS STICKS when you assign hotkey
« on: February 21, 2011, 09:02:57 AM »
I assign the hotkey in the screen designer with either a standard Mach button or an image button  - essentially just calling the action from the keyboard.

***  Not to muddy the waters - but when I assign X and A ++ / --  to an image button I get the same result.  If I assign
the X and A ++/-- to a stock Mach button it works fine.

General Mach Discussion / Y AXIS STICKS when you assign hotkey
« on: February 20, 2011, 11:37:00 PM »
Hello,

I have finished a new screen set for my 4 axis hotwire cutter.  When I use the mouse to depress the Y++ or Y-- buttons - DROs jog properly and stop when I release mouse button.  My XBox360 controller moves the y axis properly with the default plugin settings.  If I assign a hotkey to the Y axis and depress the key - DRO moves in the correct direction - but does not stop when I let go of key.  If assign hotkeys to the other 3 axis in the same fashion - I get the correct result - push button axis moves - let go of button axis stops.  What am I missing?  Running Licensed Version R3.042.040.

Thanks,

Kris

Feature Requests / Change options for combined jog axis
« on: February 18, 2011, 10:20:24 AM »
In machscreen I have axis choices that say

Jog X and A axis together (foam machines)
Jog Y and A axis together (foam machines)

The second choice should refer the Y and B axis

I believe this was intended to drive a 4 axis foam machine cutter to jog in a 2 axis functionality.

This would be awesome but the axis ref needs to change.

This is great control software - Thanks

Screen designer tips and tutorials / Problem with A and B axis DRO
« on: February 05, 2011, 11:28:36 PM »
I am currently developing a mach screen for my foam cutter. Have some questions about a couple of things.

1.  The axis I have setup on my controller are X-Y and A-B.  When I create the DRO's for the X-Y axis - no problem.
The axis responds as it should - when I click on it I can enter a value - hit enter and the DRO changes.
When I add the A and B DRO windows I get no response when I run the g-code. When I select it - type in a value hit enter-
The value immediately changes back to 0.000.  I'm confused ????

2.  Is it possible to set up the tool path window to just display the X-Z movement without the Y.

3.  Is it possible to have the A-B axis in a tool path window - I currently don't see an option under the settings menu.

Thanks for your time -

Kris
