Just found the answer. Hood posted it some time ago!

Copy the xml for the profile you use, for example if using the default profile it is called Mach3Mill.xml and is in the main Mach3 folder. If you have tool tables or offsets or custom macros then also save the macro folder for your profile. Any non standard screen then you need to save the .set for it and also any bitmaps associated with it.
Also dont forget to keep a copy of your licence file, its in the main Mach3 folder and is called Mach1Lic.dat.

Is there a way to make a backup of the parameters and settings of Mach-3. I'd like to reinstall it and be sure that it will be exactly the same after.

I updated to the newest Mach3 version and the same happened. No full size on the screen.

Thanks Hood, now it works!! If you install the m3p file, it moves the file to a different folder. I had to find it back en put it in the right folder. But then it worked well. Overclocking the speed is possible now.

The plugin is installed in the plugin folder, but in a separate folder. Do I have to copy them into the root plugin folder? There are quite a lot (dll's) more than with the old plugin. They are also called different I think.

If you dont get the choice to choose the new plugin then you will need to choose reset device select from Function Configs menu and restart Mach.

Hello Hood, I tried to do this, but I still don't get the choice to install the new one.

Do you also know how much RAM is wise to have on your system running windows XP in combination with a smoothstepper?

Thanks Hood, I'll try as soon as the machine is finished with this run.
