General Mach Discussion / Re: G76 incorrect feed and rapid rates
« on: May 01, 2017, 10:06:38 AM »
My old computer worked fine for a while, but then started doing this. I tried uninstalling and re-installing differant versions, but it didn't help. Unfortuneatly, my only way I could resolve this was to change compuer brands. Now, every thing works as it should again.

Thanks Guys. I added a cheap ebay Breakout board into the mix and it took care of it. It was looking for both the ground and +5v from the computer to work.

General Mach Discussion / Motors won't change direction

Hopefully this is a simple one. I'm trying to convert an old Microkinetics SuperDrive over to Mach. I can get the motors to turn, but they won't change direction. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

General Mach Discussion / external e-stop requested after 10 seconds
« on: April 24, 2016, 04:19:51 PM »
Hello all. I am trying to configure my new pmdx-126 BOB for my mill. i keep getting an external e-stop requested after 10 seconds.i clear it, and it triggers the e-stop again after 10 seconds. I don't believe its a noise issue because i dont have anything hooked up as of yet. The 126 has an on-board e-stop terminal, but i have it jumpered.i use the diagnostic screen to watch it, and like clockwork, the e-stop led comes on then off. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you ever get this problem fixed? I am having the same results. I've tried everything I can think of, including uninstalling the latest version, and re-installing .057.Any help is greatly appreciated.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach turn threading issues

Well....I went to check my frequency on the system and...DEAD. I'm assuming it was the power supply on the computer that gave out. Long story short, I grabbed a newer computer that runs XP pro and it now seems fine. Threads the way it should again. Thank you all for your help. I can finally show the Higher-ups the capabilities of Mach. You guys are the best. :)

Sorry about that. I was strictly looking at the Mach3 turn Diagnostics screen. I am currently away from my computer at work. I will check this as soon as I get in tomorrow. Thanks again. Andy.

I'm sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you are asking for on the diagnostics page. If what you mean is the actual frequency or speed of the spindle, it is consistent and steady at 170 RPM's. As for my kernel speed, it is set to 25000hz. I am running the latest version of Mach(R3.043.066), and yes it is a fully licensed version.

Yes, the RPM's are very consistent. What is bugging me is the fact that the first pass is fine. After that, it acts strangely. The return pass is always slow for some reason. I believe it is moving at the same speed as the first pass. Even when the tool is going fast on the cutting pass, it goes slow on every return pass. I am running my spindle at 170 RPM's. My Kernel is set at 25Khz. I don't think this is the issue because that has never changed. I ran the driver test, and all was good. I looked at the Thread wizard wright-up and that is where I went for my configuration settings after i noticed the first issue. Still no change. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.
