Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: inporting DXF files
« on: September 01, 2010, 08:57:36 PM »
I will look into that. For now I have a work around. In my design software I can create inline paths in the letters(just like an outline just inside the letters) For the small letters I'm making its working.  Thanks

Mach3 and G-Rex / inporting DXF files
« on: August 30, 2010, 09:34:00 PM »
Im a newby to most of this, That said.  I create a vector text file, The kids name or something. I import it into Mach 3 fine and it will cut it. Now the question. How do I tell the software to cut out the entire letter and not just the outline?  Did I explaine that right?  The vector only cuts the lines on say a bold letter F but I have wood between the lines that I want removed. Is there in something in Mach or do I need to do it in the software that I create the DXF in?

Thanks in advance.

Just messing around,  I am working on cutting 3d pictures of the kids.  And then I find out that Mach3 is limited to 400 lines and the pictures are way more than that so I need to reg the program or use something else.   So far I made the roadrunner sample file, After this weekend I might have more made

FAQs / mach stops after a while
« on: February 15, 2009, 03:58:14 PM »
I have a rather large file and after about 5 min of operation it stops and just sits there.  Is this because I have the demo version?
I know it has restrictions but I figured it would tell me why it stooped?
The file is a 3d face so it is big.

General Mach Discussion / Jerky motor rotation HELP
« on: February 13, 2009, 11:07:39 PM »
I am useing the FET-3 System from Stepper World, The software that comes with it (VB STEPPER) runs the motors nice and smooth all the way up to the programs top speed, as well as slow (Smooth at any speed). Now I use MACH 3 and no matter what I do I can only get semi smooth results at one speed, about 3/4 of the top speed in VB Stepper very slow, slow, med, fast   Everything is jumpy   Even seems like its skipping steps, at all speeds.

Thanks for any responce
