PoKeys / Re: Need advice with two problems

Ok, my bad on the first problem, I must have written over the new dll at some point, I now see it installs it to the Mach3/plugins folder. Will see if the new version of firmware solves problem 2.

PoKeys / Need advice with two problems
« on: February 13, 2013, 12:23:42 AM »
The first problem, I tried updating to version 3.0.46 dated 08/02/2013 with the Mach3 Pokeys DLL v1.0.0.1 dated 11/08/2012 but I just got an error telling me to use version 1.0.30 firmware so I am using that right now. Anyone know which DLL I need to run with the latest firmware? A newer one no doubt (By the way the DLL that works with the 3.0.30 firmware is also called v1.0.0.1 ??? but dated 30/05/2012) The 3.0.46 firmware package is says it comes with the DLL but there is not one in there named Pokeys.dll, there is PokeysDevice_DLL.dll, PokeysDevice_Dll.tlb, PokeysDevice_DLL.XML, WdfCoInstaller01009.dll, winusbcoinstaller2.dll, and WUDFUpdate_01009.dll. Am I suppose to use one of these? rename it?

Second problem, I made brain to output some signals to outputs, in this case Output 18, 19, and 20, when I went into the Mach3 config for Pokeys and configured some Pokeys outputs that were wired to LEDs the Mach3 output 19 was lighting up the LED configured to output 20. Further checking showed that Mach3 brain outputs sent to 18, 19, and 20 had to be configured in Pokeys config to Mach3 outputs 17, 18, and 19. Anyone else had this bug?

Hi, this is Frank from Victoria, BC, Canada.

Finished my first cnc router build last week and so far its been working ok, however I did encounter a problem today.

First my system:

3 axis cnc router controlled with the hobby cnc kit (not the pro) with 305oz motors, the controller is plugged into a smoothstepper which is plugged into a aspire one netbook, running Mach 3 and CamBam.

I made a stab a hooking up the limit switches.  Watched the video, hooked it up the safe way (grounded).  The switches work with a slight delay (smoothstepper config?), but also the lights sometimes flicker on then off randomly (this is without any pules going to the motors and the router off).  Anyway, set the ports and pins so the leds come on when the switches are pressed, set the home/limits of my machine (soft min 0,0,-8, soft max 38.25 x 24.25 x 0), set it to home in the neg for x and y and auto zero.  Hit the ref all button and the dro changed but the motors didn't move? checked motors by jogging, motors do move.  Also the display mode button does not toggle between the work view and table view.

Feel free to move this if you have to.

Frank
