Hi,
I have done what you said and is absolutely great, in fact I could not work out that I should only remove  the G0, what I tried before, was removing the all line N644 and of course the part end up  even worst.
Now is perfect, you have done a good job and of course a great help, you must be very knowledgeable with Mach3.
Regarding the post processor on Mastercam I do not know, after drawing the part and give all details for machining  I press a proper  button on Mastercam and it generates itself the G code,  what I can say to you is,
the extension is .NC and shows FANUC on a little window that´s all I can tell, sorry I am a new comer on this matters, I hope you understand these details I am giving you.
The part is a small horn for air modeling purposes which will be attached to a servo with a metal link.
Once again,  thank you very much for your concern and prompt help, I am jet model pilot, if you ever need any help regarding jets and turbines please do say something and I will be very glad to help you too.
Best regards.

Hi Elpablito,
it is very nice of you to help me, please see bellow the code generated by Mastercam which  Mach3  have problems to accept.

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Load Mach3 with mastercam G code
« on: March 31, 2010, 09:27:57 PM »
Hi,
I started using Mastercam on 2D basis, everything goes fine, I then generate the G code there and do a copy paste  to a text document,  next I open Mach3 and load the G code from that text document.
The problem is, everything goes fine on the Mastercam simulation but on  Mach3,  with the same G code does not go at all or some other times goes very different from what I am expecting,  resulting in
a non usable piece of work.
If there is anyone who can give an hand on this, I would be much great full.
Thanks.

FAQs / Feed rate
« on: February 15, 2009, 07:51:08 PM »
Hi,
I am trying to get on with Mach 3 Mill, I am getting  there more or less OK, but some times there are things that I can not do as I would like to, for exemple the speed on the Z axis it is fine on G0, on G1 it is really very slow, I tried to alter the feed rate to a value I want but for some reason when I click enter the value goes to the default value again which is 6 and the movment with this value is very slow.
My questions are:

1-am I dooing the right steps to enter the feed rate value I want?
2-is the program not runing propperly, or did not set it up as I should?
3-shall I enter on the G code with the feed rate I need?
4-has it got to do with the steps selection I did for the motor?

If any one of you manage the time to give me a hand with this, would be great.
Thanks a lot.

FAQs / Re: M98
« on: February 01, 2009, 10:32:22 PM »
Hi Sam,
that is well pointed, I tried it and really only drills the hole once and then goes to the next  one ,  so with this two  ways of drilling we can choose which one suit us better.
Thank you both, it was a great help.

Hi Chip,
thanks a lot it works perfect, I only now worked out what you mean by %,  it is just a something after the last line of the program to accept M99.
I thought I had to put some kind of percentage value for example 20% or whatever and did not realize it was only necessary to put the % signal.
Best regards.

Hi Chip,
I went back to the program on Mach 3 and I only noticed now that it does not accept M99 although it is written on the file which I load.
I already tried several times and ways but I can not manage to load the M99 and  that is probably the reason it only drills two holes.
Any way if you have any idea please let us know.
Thanks once more for your concern.

Hi Chip,
Thanks for your reply, I just tried it and it only does two holes for some reason,  I do not understand because everything seems to be OK.
With my program I could not even make one hole so eventually we will get there  :)
Any other suggestion you could do.
Many thanks.

FAQs / M98
« on: January 28, 2009, 05:03:07 PM »
Hi guys,
as this is my first time to program something to use Mach3 mill I decided to do something really easy, this is what I have programed:
O1000
G54 G94 G90 G21
M6 T1
G43 H01 G0 Z50
G0 X0 Y0
M98 P50 2000
G80
G0 Z10 M30

O2000
G81 R2 Z-12
G91 X5
G90 M99

What I notice is that Mach3 do not seem to accept M98, is there any one who could help me? Does Mach3 has a different code to call the sub-program?
Thank you very much for your help.
Mario
