General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 'comma' vs 'period'
« on: January 24, 2012, 05:51:29 PM »
I have some 3D software that is outputting feedrates with a comma (ie F1,000) which Mach 3 is interpreting as F1 (F1.000).  Is there a setting Mach3 that tells it to use a comma the same as a period?  I thought I saw it once upon a time or read about it here on the forum but can't seem to find it in setup or searchs here on the forum.

Thanks
Don

Thanks all,  will probably follow the advise to load the file(s) into a local directory on the PC where Mach3 is run.  I have had no issues with Mach3 when the WiFi card is active.

Having been using Mach3 for about 2 years now with no issues.  Recently, I added a WiFi card to my workshop PC used to drive Mach3 so I didn't have to carry USB drives back and forth with me from my office where I do my CAD/CAM work to my workshop PC.  Just being lazy since I tend to forget the USB card in the workshop PC when I need to make a change to a drawing or gcode and go back to my office.....  Anyway, if there is a network glitch or  Mach3 cannot retrieve the file I want from my office PC via the WiFi connection, it just locks up and never gives me a 'file not found' or 'file not available' message.  Is there a way to interrupt Mach3 so it stops looking for a file without cancelling Mach3 or rebooting the PC?  I have tried everything I know to interrupt Mach3 without loosing the session but no success.

Thanks

I downloaded and updated the DirectX files/system and all works fine right now.  Thanks for the help.  I responded to this thread last night but I see my post did not make it to the thread.

Lee, once again thanks for your help.

Lee, thank you for your efforts in developing the XBox pendant plugin.  I see many are using it successfully.

I 'liberated' my kids wired XBox controller (actually a MadCatz) when they got the wireless controllers and have downloaded and installed the XBox plugin in Mach3\Plugin as well as the drivers from Microsoft for the XBox controllers.  My system recognizes the controller, it is calibrated but when I start Mach3, I get an error saying 'Plugin DLL Defective. Reload' followed by 'XBox360Controller.dll - Defective Plugin Found..ingoreing.."   Mach3 then starts but there is no XBox plugin listed to configure.

My system is Windows XP Home Edition - SP3, Mach3 Ver R3.042.040

I have downloaded and reinstalled the XBox plugin, recalibrated the controller, etc, but no joy.  Any help you can provide will be appreciated.  I searched the forums about XBox controller but could not find a similar problem.

Thanks   Don
