Brains Development / Brain for air valve for machine that requires air
« on: March 14, 2013, 05:47:08 PM »
Ok so my HNC leaks air badly. I use a brain to open the air when ever the machine is running or spindle is on.
Also if I open/close collet do tool change or cutoff or jog. it uses the 'is running' as a trigger.
what i would like is for the air to stay on during and for 10-30 sec after any of these operations.
if you have any ideas please share them.
Thanks Drew

The x axis overtravles. The offset is set to 3.4 . Dro reads 6.8
It move 1 for 1 instead of .5 to 1

r3.043.062 machstdmill screen for lathe
i thought i was on to something that manual jog after zero return would fix this but not sure now.
I have got it to work correctly without reboot after  a zero return. sometimes after a reset and zero return it goes from working correct back to radius.

My lathe has done this for years. I was using an older ver of mach and a screen that was origanlly for a mill that i changed. I thought the screen was the problem. but i upgraded mach so i could use the machstdmill-lathe screen. this did not run well on my older PC so i had to upgrade it as well. the new PC has a low voltage pp which would not fire my ssr's . now i have a cnc4pc C11 also which is much better just the ssr's.

CVI MachStdMill (MSM) / not using master tool

I have read the manual but still didnt understand the master tool mode.
i dont think i have it turned on but i set it to 9 anyway my lathe has an  8 tool ATC.
I set the z to a common point for all tools and x on centerline then adjust WCS for where i want z on the workpiece.
