PoKeys / Multiple information per line on LCD?
« on: September 08, 2010, 11:37:03 AM »
Hi all,

I would like to put 2 types of variables on each line of the LCD at a fixed starting position, is this possible.. If so..HOW? ???

ie.
Line 1: X-DRO and behind this (ofcourse at a fixed position) the feedrate
Line 2: Y-DRO and behind this (ofcourse at a fixed position) the spindlespeed
Line 3: Z-DRO and behind this (ofcourse at a fixed position) the jograte
Line 4: A-DRO and behind this (ofcourse at a fixed position) the toolnumber

I can get 2 variables on the LCD, however not at a fixed location..

Hope that someone can help me out (and probably others as well)

Cheers,
BriBis

PoKeys / Is PoKeys fast enough?
« on: September 04, 2010, 01:47:32 PM »
Hi all,

I was wondering if Pokeys is fast enough to connect a toolheight-sensor to one of it's ports (without crashing into the base of a mill ofcourse)?
Is there any difference between the parallelport and Pokeys with reference to communication-speed?

Thanks,
BriBis

VB and the development of wizards / Use joystickbutton to run button-script
« on: November 04, 2009, 01:29:01 PM »
Hi all,

How can I (if possible) run a button-script (Z-probe) when pressing the button on my joystick?
Using the joystickbuttons to run basic commands (like "Cycle start") is no problem, but it doesn't seem to work with own written scripts..

Hope you guys can help me.

General Mach Discussion / Second Parallel port
« on: August 23, 2009, 05:19:46 PM »
Hi all,

I have just installed a second parallel port on my computer and am trying to configure it for Mach3 (version R3.042.029) on my XP-pc.
I configured it in Mach3 as "2-9 as inputs" because I would like to juse this port mainly for external jogging-buttons.

I've set all those inputs port #2 from pinnumbers 2 to 7 (X++ upto Z--) as active low.
I also have a probe attached to this port on pinnumber 10.

The parallelport-card is a Moschip MCS9865, which gives my secondairy LPT-port a base-address of 0xDFA8 (weird address, but ok)..

Now my problem:
When I push the probe, it works like a charm (and is visible in the diagnostic-window as "digitize").
BUT when I use one of the jog-buttons, nothing changes at all..

What could be the problem? And is there any software-program/tool to check the parallelport itself?

Hoping you guys can help me out!!

I guess... counting all the mess and interpolating whats behind the other mess and behind that it should be exact: 2,475,921 and if this isn't the exact number it should be more or less the sameĀ  ;D
