General Mach Discussion / Help on Mach screen modification.
« on: January 02, 2023, 03:29:21 PM »
Hello to all,
trying to see if this is possible to do in the MACH screen.
I have 2 slide rails that have  (X axis) and (Z axis,).
what  I 'am  trying to achieve.   On the MACH screen instead of having the normal  X,Y, Z,and A AXIS on the control display,
I can make it were it has X,Z AND X,Z that way I can program 2  slide rails  with 2 motors  using Mach 3.
hopefully this made some kind of sense, this is just something I am trying to see if I can program 2 slide rails with one controller.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

General Mach Discussion / Re: pendant
« on: January 21, 2019, 01:34:42 AM »
thank you for the reply
my next question would be if theres any pendant or joystick
that controls the Z and X AXIS at the same time  don't know if it makes any sense

but its basically connecting both X and Z into 1 joystick so when you move at a 45degree  angle just with the joystick it records you Z and X movement.

hope this makes some kind of sense

thank you

don't know if mach can do this?
so I am building a lathe  and I am trying to see if a can add a pendant or a joystick
that can move the Z and X axis at the same time but it records every move than it saves it into a program
has anyone done something like this
thank you

Don't  know if this is the place to post this  or if this is even possible but here it goes
So I am trying to see if I can set the X and Z in some kind of joystick so I can move on my lathe  and also it is recording every move.
Can this be done with Mach

how do you use this to in your program and can some please explain what they mean.
how and what does it mean H0 and D0 in you program.
I think H means you tool offset so should I write the tool  number  I am using or shoul I leave at 0?
For D should I put the tool diameter?
can someone please explain how to use this two
I would greatlly appreciated

thank you
