General Mach Discussion / Re: EStop won't work

I have a lot to learn, I was relying on Mach3 to do the estop.  I will redesign with a proper estop.  Thanks

LazyCam (Beta) / Why am I getting alway 60 in z axis
« on: October 06, 2009, 04:07:01 PM »
Hello,  I am really new to this prgram.  All my G code has a default 60 z axis for rapid moves.  How do I change this- Also I am using the THC300 plasma torch heigth control and and there skin removed the tab hot button to give me the ability to move all axis manualy.  How can I get this back ( I know that is MACH 3 but thought someone might know how)

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: how to make tool path for 3-D dxf file
« on: August 09, 2009, 12:10:46 PM »
I found these fonts for sale on ebay that do this type of carving and thought it would be good to have to use on my router, I have seen Vcarve pro and is awsome, but the price right now is slowing me down on purchasing it.  I do have autoCad but to use it on every character would not be very fun.  Does anyone know of a reasonable priced CAM that would work in 3-D.  Thanks for all your responses I spent a couple hrs trying to make LC give me a 3D path and glad to find out why it wasn't working for me.

LazyCam (Beta) / how to make tool path for 3-D dxf file
« on: August 09, 2009, 12:16:38 AM »
Hello,  I would like to know how to set up lazy cam to make a toolpath that will cut out the font included which has depth info as part of the font.  I would like to also know how to make a tool for a v cut bit, the diameter of course chnages with depth.  If you can help please let me know.  The DXF file attached has the outside lines that show the final shape, they are deleted prior to making the toolpath.  Thanks Oskie

General Mach Discussion / my DRO' s don't go to zero

When I home my xy coordinates don't go to zero, I have the green check mark for auto zero checked in the homing tab.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

I am really not getting your results, I have made my screens look like yours and am not getting anthing as good as you are getting.  It seems like my tap file isn't recogonizing when a continuous line is present so it chops up the line into a lot of smaller lines and then rapids back and forth from these tiny line segments.  Is there a file that has you setup file that I can install similar to MACH3 XML file

I did what I think you said, trying to copy your JPEG, but I am not getting the proper path that you are.  I have posted again what I have after attempting to replicate your fine work.  Thanks
