It is ABS and come in a few colors and machines great , Here is a few pictures of some other dashes that I did for a 65 footer..
Had to do a little creative ingeneering to get LED lighting in it though..The top hole is for radar unit and the lower hole is for a VHF radio..
ALso I have a few pics of a name plate for my Neice to put on her Desk..
Hope you like these.

I get the material from a local plastic supplier, I forgot what the brand or type material it is , but it is used a lot for dash plates on boats . It is not starboard its harder than starboard and a little softer than acylic. From what I understand it is a crosss between the 2. the material that I usually get are drops from the local suppier so it did not have the label on it.It is nice material to cut. I used to use starboard for a lot of bigger dashes until I found this from the supplier..Next trip to the supplier I am going to get the braand name , I have had a few people ask what it is.
I usually cut it at 60 IPM at 10000 RPM..

Thanks Guys,
I guess my next project is to build or re-build my controller cabinets and power supply cabinet..
I never did make a cabinet for my power supply so it is a little dangerous setting out in the open with wires all over and an open capacitor just setting there.. Seems like when I got the router running I just stopped and started doing other jobs . But now no jobs need to be done right away so I will be trying to get it organised..
I hope.

Glad it worked out for you, and I was finally able to point someone in the right diretion (for once)..
Also it really has helped me going to the intruction videos on the top support pulldown videos on setting and eveything . There will be a lot of stuff you know but seems like evey time I watch them I pick up one more little piece of info that I missed the first time watching..
Good luck and welcome to the forums.

I forget the exact name of material but it is a cross between starboard and plexiglass or acylic sheet..It is tougher than starboard which is a softer cutting board type material and just a touch softer than acrylic material.
It did not come with the plastic film over the top like most plastics and I get drops or cut offs at the local plastics guy , but it is what is used for outside dashboards in boats.Next time I pick some up I will try to remember the type or brand of material it is..The recomended feed rate and speed is 120 IPM at 18000 for a 2 flute cutter but my router ballscrws start to wobble when I get near 120 IPM feed rate so I cut it in half to 10000 RPM and 55 to 60 IPM and cuts fine, Just when engraving it With all of the moves I need to put arc cutting to 100 percent so it wont slow down I just keep forgetting to do it and dont want to loose steps as well....
Thanks

Hey Flemgunner, go to your motor tuning tab and turn down speed and acceleration and try that..
Top left side in "config tab" THen down to motor tuning and turn those down on every axis until you get what runs the steppers correct.
Remember to hit ENTER when you change each box then apply then re-start mach and go from there.
Are your motors going in the right amount of steps as well? so a 1 inch move is 1 inch?
Then go to SETTINGS tab in mach and right above the RESET on the lower left is the calibrate axis as well.
Hope this helps..
Also if you are new check out the training videos on the main Mach or Artsoft page they are real helpful with setting up the machine settings

Here are a few pictures of a few dashboard plates that I made for my nephew this morning..
I got a new In Groove milling tool last week and wanted to try them out so far they are working great.I have not used some of the profiling bits that came in the set yet but am drawing up a few things to cut with them..
Oh and just remembered that I had posted some of the same drawings a few weeks back but this is a different material and a few changes in the design..
Hope the pics are OK..

Hey Dave,
here are a few pieces I did this morning with the 30 degree .030 tip engraver, my machine cant keep up with 60 IPM on the curves I guess so there are a few fuzzy spots to clean up but they brush off with a stiff brush..

Has anyone tried these, they are by amana Tool company.I just got a set last week for my router and have only used one of the .030 tip x 30 degree bits in it so far but man they cut nice with the right  feed and speeds.
I bought the 1/2 inch router shank set that comes with 7 different styles of bits.So far I have only used them on one job for engraving but , nice clean cut running 60 IPM and 10000 rpm on the router  I cant wait to try out the different slot cutters that came with the tool.  And also they will custom cut any angle or profile you need.. Nice set from what I have done with it so far. And since you only change the tip its all nice carbide and  only 19 bucks for most inserts, And you never know with some looking around I might be able to find them cheaper somewhere on sale..here is a link for a video on them  http://www.amanatool.com/ingroove/
And I do not work for them or sell them or anything I just wanted feedback on them.  ALso just wanted to add that only the engraving bits are indexed so no need to re-set zero, I thought when I got them ALL of the bits had the same Zero length..Still need to zero the other style bits..
