I have s/w that creates the g-code to work in an x,y direction. Is there a way for me to make the g-code cut in a 45degree path?

Thank you that worked. Now the next problem. The A axis is working properly as far as steps but it does not respone to the neg. value in the gcode that's running. It reads the line of code as if its always positive and doesn't go in reverse. I cant get a back and forth motion that's in the code created by protowizard.

thanks using your code I was able to get my system to switch units.
My new problem is with the A axis. What settings do I need to set to enable my A axis to work in degrees. Right now when the A code sees 1 it makes 1 rev, I need it to move 1 degree.

How to convert "A" to degrees from Revolutions. EX. when my code = A1 ,my rotary head makes one complete revolution. I need the rotary head to move 1 degree when the code shows "A1", 360 degrees when "A" code =360.

The problem I am having is getting the controller to work in MM. I use G21 at the start of code but the part is produced in inches. When I tuned up the motors I was able to do this in MM. The units button on the diag page is set to MM.

I can't get mach3 to run in MM units, even using G21 at the begining of my coding. How do I get the s/w to run in MM only, running XP.
