Anyone can recognize what type of connection is shown in the attached picture between the motor cable and the orange cable?

I don’t want to argue with you RICH but my opinion is it should not have been like that. You have done a good work on that manual and you should have allowed the users the flexibility to do copy / edit whatever they want from the manual.

I have purchased a lot of software on line and the manuals have never been “Secured”. Most recent was Mach3 where there are the Mach3 Mill and Mach3 Turn manuals and none is “Secured”. I just can’t see the reason why a manual should be secured.

Allowing printing only does not give you the flexibility you want to add your own comments under certain paragraphs and to highlight important text to draw your attention

I’m currently evaluating to purchase three CAM software and no manuals in any one is secured and that’s the way it should be

General Mach Discussion / Pocket Wizard

I try to familiarize myself with the Circular Pocket Wizard

What is the Ramp Distance?

How you define CW & CCW (looking from the top down or ?)

Why they are two setting for CW & CCW ? One on top of the bit icon and one for the spindle direction. I mean if the spindle is set to CW wouldnt the bit also turn CW?

Hood I like your Beaver and all work you did, but most I liked the nice control panel (screen and keyboard) but you never posted a picture of it painted (unless I miss it)

Gerry I do have an auto zero touch plate, works really well and I love it and that is enough for me.

My original question on this thread was about the tool info screen on Mach which only shows the tool number but not the diameter and height. Basically I dont need this info since I dont use that many different bits although it would have been convenient to have

LazyCam (Beta) / LC Secured Manual
« on: March 19, 2011, 10:43:37 AM »
I noticed that the Mach3 Mill and Mach3 Turn Manuals are not “SECURED” PDF documents where the LazyCam Manual is a “SECURED” PDF document and thus I can’t copy any parts of it.

I don’t know the reason why some PDF documents are secured and some not but I would have liked to copy parts of the LazyCam manual to a Word document and organize some subjects in my own way of learning along with my comments.

Is there any way to get an “UNSECURED” version of the LC Manual?

I didn’t know about the MachStdMill and visiting the site looks pretty interesting

I add it to my wish list along with the Mitutoyo gauge

Thanks Dave

Thanks Jeff,

No I did not because I thought since Mach imported the tool number from LazyCam (3) it should have imported the rest info.

So I guess I will have to update the tool info in both Mach and LC

BTW under Height is this the tools total height or just the cutting height (how much it extends below the chuck) ?

On Mach3 screen I can see the Tool Number I use but I dont see the diameter or the height as per attached picture.

Is this normal or I do something wrong?

Gerry you are a life saver.............

I first installed the “memoryoverride.reg” rebooted and did nothing

Then I installed LC alone (not from within Mach) and that did nothing

Then I installed the file from the link you provided and that did the trick. Not that it was so important but makes life much easier

Thank you both for your time

BTW the "memoryoverride.reg" is from the ArtSoft download section and I think is for people who have problems with Mack under Vista
