« on: September 11, 2008, 05:39:39 PM »
in ver 008 the program extrema are reading wrong. This codes extrema are read fine in version 3.041 but in 42.008 they are way off. Please correct this.

General Mach Discussion / CV backwards (G61/64)
« on: September 11, 2008, 05:10:41 PM »
If the "CV Distance Tolerance" checkbox is checked (turned on) the machine is in exact stop mode, if you uncheck it (turn it off) its in continuous velocity mode. So its backwards. This is in version R3.041 and R3.042.008. I'm not sure when this happened but it has not always been this way and I have made no other changes to either of my mills except upgrading Mach. Please correct this.

General Mach Discussion / Coordiante rotation
« on: June 06, 2008, 02:59:32 AM »
Is there any way to rotate the coord plane in XY around Z so as to compensate for fixture inaccuracies?

This would be faster than measuring and adjusting my code or trying to get my fixture dead on.

General Mach Discussion / Servo system
« on: February 08, 2008, 10:40:00 AM »
Been using Geckos with 10 microsteps and 0.9degree 250oz-in stepper motors on a 4 axis machine. I'm considering upgrading one of my machines to servos with rotary encoders.
I am aware that mach does not close the loop. Anyone have any recommendations for a servo system that works well with mach that closes the loop through the controller?

VB and the development of wizards / Homing via VB
« on: February 07, 2008, 11:27:08 AM »
Can I control the "bounce off" distance after an axis is homed using VB?
Can I control the homing speed using VB, besides setting the % in the homing and limits dialog?

Currently I am using DoButton(22), DoButton(23), DoButton(24) to home X,Y and Z.

My tool probing at 20mm/min is much more accurate and repeatable then my homing at 400mm/min.
Its either the inductive switches I use for homing or the fact that I home at a higher speed than I probe.
I'd like to be able to home at high speed and then back of the switch and home again at a slow speed and see
if this method improves my problem. I assume there is some sort of latency when homing probing at higher speeds
,if not then I'll try some new switches which are mechanical like my tool probe.
