Title: I killed my Mach 3...
Post by: Sweeney on December 20, 2008, 03:43:08 PM
Sitting around bored the other night I decided to 'clean out' my computer of (what I thought was) junk.

When I tried to open Mach to play with my mill I kept getting an application error... the little one that asks you to send a message to Microsoft.  I've gone so far as to download Mach again.  It says it has found the license, etc. and then I reboot... same message... no Mach.  I also copied the Mach3 folder over from my laptop and the same thing...  It opens and operates on the laptop (doesn't run the mill from the laptop per usual reasons).

Do I drive the wooden stake through the hard drive now or after I plug it into a 220v outlet and douse it with salt water?

Any help is much appreciated.  Mind you,  I'm not terribly computer savvy unless you want things randomly erased.

Cheers,
Sweeney

And, when you get it working the way you want, do a system restore point.

Hope you have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.
Many Thanks from me and everyone else on this forum for all your help.

p.s. Does Santa come to Scotland?  ;D

Thanks, guys.  I tried that early on to no avail but this time I went to an earlier restore date and it's alive.  Woo Hoo!
