How do I go from a photo to a code I can run?

Try the trial from vectric, called photoVcarve, you will see some stuff done with it here http://machsupport.com/forum/index.php?topic=192.0

You can do this in LazyCam as well and it is FREE :)

Got the pro trial version. I wanted to test the g code generation. ????

Gonna have to take a look at LazyCam, sounds like it has come a long way since it first came out.
