I have a spindle with two pulses per rev. I'm reading this into the "index" input, so the RPM counter always displays twice the actual RPM.
Is there a way to divide the pulse inputs to display a proper speed?

You can use the timing input instead but you will need one slot widerthan the other.

I'm no macro weenie, but couldn't he overlay the RPM display with another DRO, and have a macro, or perhaps even a brain, that reads the "real" RPM DRO, divides by two, and uses that value to update the new DRO?

Thinking about it Ray I think Mach can actualy do this itself by using the ratios, forgot all about that :)

How do you mean ratios?
My spindle is set to run at 6,000 RPM which gives 12,000 pulses. I tried to set the pulley #1 ratio at 2, but the RPM stayed the same in the display (12,000). There is a box in the spindle calibration pop-up that says "pulses per revolution", but it is grayed out and I can't enter the number two there.
How else would you do this?

Not done it myself but think it should be in the manual, if you cant find it come back and I am sure someone that has used it wil advise.
