The file runs here... Could you check to see that you are not in inverse time mode (G93) ? You should be in G94 UPM mode

Thank's Chip
Title: Re: lazycam
Post by: Brian Barker on June 26, 2006, 11:53:11 PM
It is about time :) I have been adding code for an OEM so there were many changes in LCAM.... I was working all the bugs out and now it is time to start back on the offset path  :o That is not as much fun as I had hoped it would be  ;) I have all the line to line code done! so LCAM can take a path that is all lines and offset the path and trim all the lines to the right length... This is all so the first part to get pocketing done... I need more TIME!!!!

Thank you (Just wanted to tell you what I was working on next)

where we change g93 to g94 in settup
thank you
Title: Re: lazycam
Post by: jlautomatio on June 28, 2006, 04:31:03 PM
ok now it working i put in pre-amble to code output
G94 an it change the mode on mach3 this is ok

one more think
if i load dxf file and keep layer info. it work ok but i have to enter all the info for layer control
like feed plunger hight  ext. take time to enter

if i load dxf and ignore layer inf. the layer control all the info are there if i put outside off
in the inside if i have dot it show the dot and if i generate the gcode all the dot it say Radius to end of arc differ from radius to start on line number #17

The Gcode output is fixed so it will not drill the first hole two times in the first drill cycle.
The other thing that I added is rotoation :) you can rotate the part X amount of degrees and it will re calculate the stock size that you need to get the part :)

I don't see a problem with the Gcode file... If you would like the feedrate changed, you can do that by clicking on the chain and changing it on right hand side. The R is at the rapid hight .. Did you want it at some other height?
Thanks
Brian

i anderstand your point but i think when the z axe go down it should be  going down at the plunge rate set up to reach  z0.00
it could be change on chain but we have to enter every time an if we forget z go down to fast

Hi, Brian

Thing's are getting pretty nice hear with LaxyCam. Could you put on your list to add to Plasma, Dot/Point/G81 Function.

It would also be nice to have a default setting's for Layer Control Window to save,  Startup Value's across the board and add a (None) Option to Leadin Type box.

On a liter note, I have several Compact 5's It's a nice little lathe.

The tool changer's default's with rev. lower voltage to hold in last change pos. when selected it times a move to just beyond next tool pos. and rev. lower voltage to lock.

It's really no deferent than relying on stepper's to move with no feedback, It's a little slow but automatic work's nice.

Thank's Chip

Block.Format("G%.d X%.4f Y%.4f Z%.4f R%.4f F%.2f",Cycle,ent->startx,ent->starty,Depth,RapidHeight,FeedCut);

feedcut i ask for milling when we use g81 feed cut will be plunger rate

 in lazycam
in layer control  the set up i made was
feedrate 3000
plunger was 1000

---------N11 G1 Z0.0000  F1000.00

---------N20 G81 X203.8787 Y7.4656 Z0.0000 R12.0000 F3000.00

the reason i ask this i cut plastic using the same router 1/8 bit

the feed to cut the part is good at 3000
but when the z axe go trow the plastif it as to be 1000 to make nice job

in the dxf file we will have is lot of drill hole and line curve etch.

tell me if it could be done it will be very nice to have done

Congratulations, hope all is well, change the any chance to when thing's settle down.

Any chance this could get fixed in LC and posted to FTP site.

Plasma post. We useley set the Pierce Hight to 0 and Initial Hight to 0  In thye code below the M3's after line N155, N170, N185, N200 and N215 are missing.

If the Pierce Hight and Initial Hight are at default values I think there is an extra G4 P1.000 generated.

Pierce Hight and Initial Hight=0

Hi, Brian and All

Hear's the DXF for my prev. post test55Dotpolyline.DXF.

The second one is Test55Dot. DXF  is there a way to have LC sort with a close enough feature to consider the lines and arcs as one group  without

joineing them. I think there start and stops are the same.

Thank's Chip

Lcam looks to see that the ends are with in about .0001 ... I can't set this any higher..

Brian, check out Mytmill by acumotion.  Not nearly as good as your LZ but a few interesting features in the G code output.  One option allowes the user to select allowed mismatch in line ending for "blending" .  Another is segmenting toolpaths in the output with labels to improve understanding.  LZ is much better already but MyTmill has a few neat feature to look at.

Thank you :)

I am about to redo the output class in Lcam.. This is a big job and will make it so I can do some cool work with the Gcode that is coming out. I am going to add in tangential knife controle to Lcam! This will also make it simpler for me to make OEM versions of the software.. There is interest in having Lcam do foam cutting as well as lathe. So I think it is time to add the tools to output the code a bit better :)
