hi how is everyone doing.
I got this little problem with mach hopefully someone can tell me whats wrong?
I started mach loaded a program ran good. but then when I went into MDI for some reason
it will not let me type certain letters and numbers like I try to type M06 T1 and it would not
input nothing but if I type some other letter it would.
can some tell if I have modify something.
thanks

First off is this Mill or Turn? Second are you sure you typed a Zero and not the letter O?

O by the way I have 2 mach mill set up on my desktop one with a keygraber set up and the other one with out it
the one that does not have the keygraber setup it works fine but I would like to use the one with the keygraber
I hope that makes some kind of sence.
thanks.

What are you using Keygrabber with? What is the difference beween the two screens if any? Can you use KeyGrabber with the other profile to see if it changes things?

Josh, have you modified your screen set? If so, post it and I'll have a look. If not, post your xml of the profile your having trouble with.

No worries Josh, its easy to do. At the top of this reply there is a tab, reply. It takes you to the full reply page that is a little different than the quick reply at the bottom. Once you clcik it you'll see the reply box and the words additional options listed just to the left below the box. Click on it and browse to you C:\Mach 3 folder. There you will find your screen set. I don't know if you have a custom or not but by your problems I think maybe you do. It will have the .set extension on it. If it is the default 1024.set you'll have to rename it before posting it.
Hope this helps,
Brett

Can you also attach the xml for the profile you use, if its a standard Mach3Mill profile then it will be called Mach3Mill.xml You will find it in the Mach3 folder on your drive, you will need to right click and copy then paste onto your desktop. You will then need to rename it as the forum will only accept a file that hasnt been posted before, rename it Josh.xml and it should work.

Josh, M06 T1 is calling a tool change (M06) to tool 1 (T1). If the toolchange option isn't enabled in general cofig, it will ignore the M6 command. Do you have a tool changer on your machine? If not, lets do more on this later if needed.

here are the profiles of my mill and keygraber

and here is my keygraber I think this is it

Josh, your problem is in your config, system hotkeys. MDI select is set to 49 which equals 1.

No problem Josh. Glad your getting sorted and learning. You haven't seen the tip of the iceberg yet. Mach just has so many tools in its box to get the job done. VB, Modbus, Plug-ins to name a few.
Be careful, this stuff is addictive. :)
