Title: What is better...?
Post by: giannis121 on August 12, 2008, 08:43:05 AM
This is a silly question, but please if you know something, answer it...

What is better to use for PC for Mach3? Multiprocessor computer or single?
(I am asking because i followed the recomended steps about performance -about changing from ACPI PC to Standard PC - and i realised that the processing speed was lower. My PC is dual core.)
regards,
giannis...

I think many are running dual core with great success. Did you try installing before optimising your PC? Was there a problem if you did? As far as processor speed. It is recommended that your Mach PC be a dedicated PC and optimising won't hurt the performance of Mach. It may however hurt others apps. but there is no way all apps. can be taken into consideration. No software does this though. Anti-viruses usually slow the system dramatically but they have to to do their job. Same way it is Mach.

Brett,
i tried before optimizing. Was working good. I did the optimizing just to be sure.
By the way, is there any way to run Mach3 on linux?
