Dear all G100 user!
Hi! I'm Kris.
I'm using MACH3 with G100. And I have some problem.
First I can launch firmware load when Grex shows me red light.
And I can ping Grex always. 0% loss. So I'm sure I have static IP adress.
But after motor tuning in Mach3, I always see error message as attached file.
I did searched all topic about "ecode=777", "ecode=790" and "ecode=813".
And I tried all firmware and plugin I can get. (But I'm not sure I have right...)
Does anybody know about this problem?
Please help me~~~ ;)

Kris, how is your G100 connected to the network? Is it through your PC on a second network connection with the first network connection being your internet connection? If so, are you using a crossover cable to connect the G100 to its network connection? What is the IP address of both network connections?
Have you looked at the manual? It may help. Here is a link. http://www.machsupport.com/docs/G100_Set_Up_Guide_Rev.1_9-19-07.pdf

Hi Brett!
Oh! you checked my topic so fast! Thanks!!
I reply your question as following.
Please let me know what I have to do.
1. My computer is not connected Internet.
2. GREX directly connected PC with crossover cable.
3. Computer's IP adress is 192.168.1.100. And Gres's IP adress is 192.168.1.10.
4. I have read the manual so many time...T.T And I did as the manual so many time...T.T
Please help~~~!!
Please~~~~~
Best regard. ^^

Think you will have to be able to get the Grex to the net to be able to upload the firmware.
Brett
-
Thanks Brett!!
But...
Even Grex isn't connected to the net, but I can download the firmware and upload it, isn't it?
Please let me know which plugin and firmware is right one.
Best regard.

The links in the set up guide should point you to the latest plug-in and firm ware. Will confirm net acces to upload firm ware but pretty sure you'll have to have an internet connection to do it. Been a long time since I did that. :P

Thanks brett!!
Then I got right firmware and plugin as the manual. the screen shot was matched with the manual.
And....You mean I have to connect Grex through router?
-Kris-

I don't think you will have to have an internet connection to update the firmware but you will have to have the communication with the PC haveing mach and the plug-in installed in place.
Brett

Then I have to buy a router... Ahhhh...
OK... I'll try...Thanks very much! ^^
-
No, I don't think so. You can connect the G-100 direct to PC with a crossover cable.

I tried with router.
But Grex still shows me "ecode=777"
Please~~~ Somebody help me~~~!!! T.T

I was getting this message reliably along with difficulty initializing once this occurred. Got a new Rabbit and problem was solved. I still have the old Rabbit and it reliably and predictably continues to fail. Gecko has indicated a very small percentage of the Rabbit mini-computers demonstrate networking/ communication trouble.
Also see 'G100 crashing' thread for related symptoms and additional info.
The above is a quto taken from the following thread.

This one may also help.

I have seen the topic. But...I can't understand. What is rabbit?
He said "new rabbit". what means it?
Is it some plugin? or firmware?
Thanks for your kindness and reply. ^^

Kris, the rabbit is the micro-processor in the G100 I do believe. It is hardware. Contact Gecko about your problem and see if they can help.

James, Have you looked at the G100 Set Uo Guide?

yes i was looked.... ..
-
this is my design....
thx for your reply Brett....
any comment ?

James, your wireing looks fine to me. Looks like your using a 24V power supply? Chaeck the 5v (common on your sheet) pin and see if you have 5 volts there.
Brett
-
hi Brett....
Yes i use 24 VDC for supply G100 and i was check the common and there was 5 V...
do you think all the part has connect to the right pin ?
must i use 3 axis to test G100 ?
thank's Brett...
james

Your diagram looked fine to me.
You should be able to just test one axis. It is no necessary to have all axis wired up to test one but might want to disable other axis and home switches if they are set up in ports and pins.
No Problem,

Hi Brett ...
sory about my Questions... do you think is it right if i use resistor 33K ? when power supply ON, resistor voltage is 7,21V... i use 48 V Dc power supply with 4,2A current output to supply G201, i use 2,8A stepper motor...
also to test my motor, i must use what G-code?
Thanks very much Brett......
